Folk Alliance Australia

The Folk Alliance Australia Inc. (FAA) is the peak organisation representing folk music across Australia. Membership is open to all with most members being songwriters, performers, festivals management and supporters of folk music. The organization is staffed by volunteers and has its head office in Canberra.

The organisztion promotes Australian folk music in all its forms, particularly through support of festivals, workshops and training. The quarterly FAA News is issued as part of the long running industry magazine, Trad & Now. The FAA issues the Australian Folk Directory and holds the FAA Annual Convention every August in Canberra.
