Letters with accents had disappeared completely (any "e") or were replaced with other letters somewhere in a system, here or in the original editor's machine or machines. I just put letters with no accents in their stead, because I have never been able to figure out the Wikipedia rules and customs. I also corrected a few typos and put in paragraphs. I did this with my copy of the 11th edition open next to me on pages 800-801 of Volume VII, at the "Dancourt, Florent Carton" article, checking everything. If not for the accents it would have been a remarkably faithful copy. AlainV 19:15, 2004 Apr 18 (UTC)
