Florida State Road 472 (SR 472) is a short, 3.44 mile highway that provides a direct route to DeLand primarily for eastbound motorists from Interstate 4. An extensive reconstruction of the SR 472/I-4 interchange was finished on October 3rd, 2006, as the new ramp from westbound SR 472 to eastbound I-4 toward Daytona Beach was opened[1]. This isn't the only way to Daytona. SR 415 northbound carries motorists to US 92 near Interstate 95, making it an alternate route of I-4.
SR 472 originally extended from US 17/92 to I-4, before the extension toward CR 4145 (Howland Boulevard) was completed in 2005. Miscellaneous construction continues at the I-4 interchange.
SR 472 is signed east-west.
