The Florida International University Honors College is an academic college located on-campus at Florida International University in Miami, Florida in the United States. The Honors program opened in 1990 and the Honors College in 1997. Currently, there are 1090 students with over 50 full-time tenured, or tenure-track faculty with an average student ratio of 21:1.
Honors housing is also available in Lakeview Hall South for Freshmen and Everglades Hall for upperclassmen at Honors Place. Started in 2000 with just 5 rooms, Honors Place now has over 100 students living in two separate residence halls and is the second-largest housing community after the F.Y.R.S.T. community.
