Florence R. Gibbs

Florence Reville Gibbs (April 4, 1890 - August 19, 1964) was a U.S. Representative from Georgia, wife of Willis Benjamin Gibbs.

Born in Thomson, McDuffie County, Georgia, Gibbs attended the public schools. He was graduated from Brenau College, Gainesville, Georgia.

Gibbs was elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-sixth Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of her husband, Willis Benjamin Gibbs, and served from October 1, 1940, to January 3, 1941. He was not a candidate for reelection in 1940 to the Seventy-seventh Congress. He retired from public life and resided in Jesup, Georgia, until her death there August 19, 1964. He was interred in Jesup Cemetery.
