Flora Hill Secondary College is a co-educational secondary college, catering for students in years 7 to 10, located in Flora Hill, a suburb of Bendigo, Victoria, Australia.
In 2007, the college had an enrolment of over 1000 students, supported by over 100 staff[1]. Year 10 students have the opportunity to specialise in specific areas of interest. Senior students also have the opportunity to undertake some units of their Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) at the college. Most of the students who choose to go on to achieve the VCE do so at the nearby Bendigo Senior Secondary College.
Before becoming co-educational, Flora Hill Secondary College was known as the Bendigo Girls High School.[citation needed]
Flora Hill Secondary College, as it is known, is to close as of the end of 2007, and will reopen in 2008 amalgamated with Golden Square Secondary College.[citation needed] Building works have commenced to build the new secondary school.[citation needed] It will be known as Bendigo South West Secondary College.[citation needed]
