what do the colors of the colombian Flag realy mean or stand for?

Yellow- gold

Blue- ocean

when you look at the colombian flag you just see yellow, blue and red, but what you dont know is what it really stands for than just the colombian flag. It shows what represents us colombians. The yellow is for the sun and the land of the people, the blue is for the beautiful blue, crystal, clear oceans that we have, and the red is for the blood that was shed by patricts that fought for colombia's freedom. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.230.153.34 (talk) 00:02, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
