The Flame-rumped Sapphire (Hylocharis pyropygia) is a doubtfully valid species of hummingbird in the Trochilidae family known only from Brazil. Today few authorties accept it as valid, instead believing it represents a hybrid between Chlorostilbon aureoventris and Hylocharis cyanus.
