Flag waver
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A flag waver may refer to:
- The section of a piece of music which is meant to excite and invigorate the audience. It is generally the final refrain. It is also meant to show off the band's technical skill.
- A metaphoric description of patriotism. In this context, it can be a compliment, or, more often, an insult or accusation of excessive patriotism, or flamboyant patriotism, or deception. Please see "waving the bloody shirt".
