Fixer is a New York City-based hard rock band signed to indie record label, Riker Hill Records. The band's sound, which mixes the glam of '80's metal with the edge of today's alternative and hardcore bands, has drawn comparisons as far reaching as Guns 'N Roses, Stone Temple Pilots, and My Chemical Romance. Fixer's lineup consists of vocalist Evan Saffer, guitarist Tommy Zamp, bassist J Brown, and drummer Rev Swank. The band released it debut album, Before The Sun, on April 8th, 2008.
Before The Sun has already garnered favorable reviews by numerous music publications, including TuneLab Music, which has been quoted as saying: "90 percent of the cookie cutter bands out there doing literally the same thing as these guys could only wish they had the raw talent shown on Fixer’s debut".[1]
On April 7th, 2008, Fixer's song "Mixing In With My Blood" was featured on MTV's The Hills -- a day before the album's release. The band is currently on tour supporting Before The Sun.
