Five Run Away Together

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Five Run Away Together (published in 1944) is the third book in The Famous Five series by the British author, Enid Blyton.

The Five eat heaps of Aunt Fanny's and Joanna the cook's delicious food. The biggest adventure their going to have is to go explore their very own Kirrin Island, which George generously shares with her cousins after exciting adventures the previous summer. However their plans are spoilt, first by Joanna having been temporarily replaced by the reprehensible Mrs Stick and her ghastly son Edgar. When Aunt Fanny is taken suddenly ill and has to go away with Uncle Quentin to be treated in a far off hospital, the Five are left in the dubious care of the Sticks and decide to decamp to Kirrin Island and take care of themselves.
