Five Dots Tattoo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Five Dots Tattoo is for Vietnamese gang members. The five dots stand for the five T's, which are, Tình, Tiền, Tù, Tội, Thù, which translates to love, money, prison, crime, revenge.

In Argentina the five dots tattoo, known as "Los Cinco Puntos", stands for "Muerte a los ratis" (Death to the cops), and it's supposed to represent one police officer being surrounded by four delinquents. It's usually done in prison, with hand made machines and ink taken from a "birome" (pen).

In Portugal, the five dot tattoo resembles the five shields on the Portuguese flag. The five shields represent the five Holy Wounds inflicted upon Jesus during his crucifixion. This tattoo is usually worn by members of the Portuguese army and has no relation at all to prison or any criminal acts.
