Five9 is a leading provider of hosted call center and Predictive dialer software for Small and medium enterprises. Five9 was one of the first companies to exclusively utilize Software as a service to deliver call center software to its customers.

Five9 was founded in January of 2001 and officially launched in Walnut Creek, CA March 2001. The company founders John Kim, Ray Soto, Gus Laredo, James Southworth and Andrew Veliath launched the company with an angel round of less than $100K. The company managed to survive, prosper and grow the business with it first product offering while working on what has now become their flagship offering Five9 Hosted offering. On December 2002 Five9 officially launched the hosted offering. Five9 secured Series A venture capital in 2004 followed by a Series B offering in 2005. Five9 has outpaced the hosted call center industry and is currently recognized by Inc. (magazine) as one of America's Top 500 Fastest-Growing Private Companies.
