Can someone of greater skill than myself turn Image:Fishing reel.svg into an image mapped diagram like that? gren グレン 10:46, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
It appears to have numbers on it now, is that what you wanted by "image mapped diagram"? It would be helpful to get some diagrams that show how each type of reel functions. --Ace Frahm 04:05, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Edits conducted as part of Technical Editing class
I have edited this page as part of a class project. If anyone does not agree with some of my changes please do not revert the whole page but instead edit the individual disagreements. Also I think the entire last two paragraphs under "reel mechanisms" can be deleted because this information is covered elsewhere in the article; Any consesus? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rjdenissen (talk • contribs) 00:26, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- Pretty good all around, I'd say. I made a minor grammatical correction [[1]]. At a quick glance, I don't think the "reel mechanisms" section is redundant; anti-reverse reels are only mentioned in passing earlier on, and I don't see any information about direct-drive reels anywhere else in the article.
