- Overridden. Deletion was handled by underqualified wikipedians. No big deal, fortunately; this is the power of wikipedia: errors will eventually be fixed. `'Miikka 00:20, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Stub
I think this article should be labelled as a stub. There was more in the fishing article than this one. I think we should emphasise the importance of the increase of coastal territory of coastal countries worldwide to 20 nautical miles implemented by the United Nations. It is important because countries wanted more control over their continental shelves to prevent foreign trawlers from destroying their ecosystems and thus their fisheries. For Canada it came too late. Our Atlantic Canada's most important fish, cod, became illegal to fish in 1992 due to critically low populations. That resulted in an economic collapse in the maritime provinces. I would add all this but I can't source it at the moment. If anyone else can feel free.
what about including links to fish farming. increasingly inland production of ocean life is changing where we get our food, i know shrimp, crawfish, catfish, salmon, and mussels are commonly grown in tanks or in flooded fields now
[edit] External links
The External Links section is getting abused. Before its too late, I would like to propose on checking these section. Or most probably, I'll put it on my To Do List. Bu b0y2007 06:16, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fish factory
Fish factory redirect needed. I failed to quickly find any fish processing wikipedia articles. Please do something. Please do not redirect to Fish industry without expanding the latter, because such redirect will be more harmful than useful by hiding the missing topic. `'Miikka 23:18, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- OK. I decided to handle it myself, since it seems like there is a mess now. True fishermen catch fish. Those who cannot catch fish, teach others how to catch fish. Those who cannot teach how to catch, write wikipedia article. `'Miikka 00:22, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Pyat rublei 1997.jpg
Image:Pyat rublei 1997.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
