This image was created by me. It is based on Image:Original_Soviet_flag.png, but utilizes the APPROPIATE coat of arms, which can be found at Image:Ussr22091923.gif of the Russian Wikipedia. The image depicts the flag originally accepted by the Central Committee of the USSR, and was recognised from 6 July 1923 - 13 Nov 1923. The coat of arms depicted therein was also accepted on 6 July 1923, which (unlike the flag) was ultimately defined in the constitution of the USSR, which in turn was ratified by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union on 31 January 1924.
