First Gentleman

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In situations where the head of state is a woman, the term First Gentleman is sometimes used to mirror the term First Lady. The title is usually chosen by the leader's husband.

In parallel with the term First Lady, the First Gentleman is sometimes applied as an official or unofficial title for the husband of an institutional president, such as the president of a university or college, or a counterpart executive leader such as the senior pastor of a church.
