[edit] Not World Heavyweight Status
This article has been incorrectly named "FIP World Heavyweight Championship" when it hasn't been defended outside of the United States. Just because someone calls it a World Heavyweight Championship doesn't mean it is. Mr. C.C. 05:31, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
- I moved the page to FIP Heavyweight Championship. Mr. C.C. 16:57, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- From the article itself: "Following Roderick Strong's successfully defence of the title against PAC in Liverpool, England on March 3, 2007, FIP has renamed the title the "Full Impact Pro World Heavyweight Championship"." If this is true, I suggest we move the article to include its World status. WikiFew 03:34, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

- Oh please, just because some magazine doesn't confer its phoney baloney "world title status" on it doesn't change the name of the belt. Should we move CZW World Heavyweight Championship while we're at it? Hell, how about ROH World Championship? Nosleep1234 11:08, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

- First off, get over yourself. Secondly, where did I ever state anything about Pro Wrestling Illustrated? One defense outside of North America doesn't give it official World Heavyweight Championship status. It should be defended outside of North America or at least the United States on a regular basis to hold World Heavyweight Championship status. Mr. C.C. 18:42, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

You get over yourself. Look at this page. What's the name of the top title? Nosleep1234 11:01, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- That doesn't mean it has World Heavyweight Championship status. Any fed can call their main title a World Heavyweight Championship. Look at that title history and you will see that it was defended once outside of the United States. Most of the time it has been defended in and around Florida. Mr. C.C. 08:20, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Actually if it's called the FIP World Heavyweight Championship by FIP and ROH, then that is what it should be called since that is its given name, regardless of status. Linknumbers (talk) 05:27, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
