Fiorentino is one of the 9 communes or "castelli" of the Republic of San Marino. It has 2 245 inhabitants (conditions 2006) in an area of 6.57 km². It borders the San Marino municipalities Chiesanuova, San Marino, Borgo Maggiore, Faetano, and Montegiardino and the Italian municipalities Monte Grimano and Sassofeltrio. Evidence proves that this settlement existed before Roman times.
