Finegold Alexander + Associates Inc (FA+A) is a Boston based architecture firm established in 1960. Previous firm names include J. Timothy Anderson and Associates, Anderson Notter Associates, Anderson Notter Finegold, Inc., and Notter Finegold + Alexander Inc.
The firm is the recipient of more than 140 Awards for Design Excellence. Clients of the firm represent Academic, Cultural, Commercial Office, Public, Religious and Multi-Unit Residential sectors. The firm’s areas of experience include Master Planning, Adaptive-Use, Renovation, Restoration and New Construction.
FA+A received the first AIA Honor Award for Extended Use for the 1976 conversion of Boston's Old City Hall[1] to private office and restaurant use. Other notable projects include, Ellis Island National Monument and Museum[2], U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum (Associated Architects), Harvard University Radcliffe Quadrangle, Union Station in Worcester, Massachusetts, Agudas Achim Synagogue, Adath Jeshurn Synagogue, Vassar College Students’ Building, 2 Clarendon Square, Union College’s Nott Memorial, Newburyport Public Library, 226 Causeway/234 Strada, 303 Congress Street, Wang Center for the Performing Arts, Mechanics Hall, The Hatch Shell, and Monarch on the Merrimack at Wood Mill.
