Fine Art Showcase

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fine Art Showcase (also known as Barry Chappell’s Fine Art Showcase) is a nationally syndicated television show that sells and showcases fine art in an auction based format. The show is part of the Celebrity Shopping Network, and airs Through out the United States, the Caribbean and Latin America except for Mexico on Direct TV.

Barry Chappell, the host of the show, is a fifteen year veteran of selling artwork in the auction based format setting. Mr. Chappell grew up in a family that was involved with the art publishing business, and as such has extensive knowledge of the art world.

There is also an interview portion to the show. The interviews range between ten and forty minutes depending on the artists and how interesting they are. The artists that Mr. Chappell interviews are wide and diverse, but there are also artists that show up on a regular basis. The regulars include: Arbe (important artist in the designed realism movement), Guillaume Azoulay (youngest person ever to have his work accepted into the permanent archives of the Musee du Louvre in Paris), and Lindsay Dawson (notable American Impressionist).
