I simply don't see why my contribution is a candidate for speedy deletion.

Whilst you clearly understand the subject, the article is written in a "stream of thought", rather than as an encyclopedia article. There is no context to tell the reader what broad subject area we are in (is this a computing term??).
The article needs more links, it needs a short summary at the top, and to be broken into coherent sections that lead the reader through the subject.
Unfortunately, as it stands, the article would only make sense to somebody who already understands the subject.
