Talk:File area network

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I created a intro which I believe all Wikipedia article are expected to have as per policy.I hoped I have accurately described the how the term "File Area Networking" is being used in this article. --Cab88 15:54, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

This whole page bothers me as regards sentence structure. There's not much ambiguity as such, but I have to read every sentence 2 or 3 times to be sure I got what it meant. There's also some ping-ponging between past and future and singular and plural that's kind of disconcerting. It's not an easy page to fix without re-authoring the whole thing. I might come back later and see what anybody else thinks, if anything. Freddy011 09:45, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Images

The images in this article are very large, causing long download times for slower connections. Could the sizes be reduced? JonHarder talk 19:07, 23 December 2006 (UTC) --

Jose Nathan Delac 00:43, 21 January 2007 (UTC) I will upload new images that are smaller. I realized this as well.... Sorry. Cab88, please feel free to edit sentence structure... I am sorry that it does not flow that well.

[edit] Great article!

This is a great article, definitely a keeper! It is a wonderful introducing/summary/tutorial, about Storage beyond men's hard disk. (Now I only have to win the jackpot in a lottery). Snailer 21:18, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Citations please.

There are a few citations needed, for instance: "Unstructured file content comprises most of the storage growth in most enterprises today. Application data growth ranges anywhere from 40% to 125% annually in most companies. Consolidation of storage, compliance, application upgrades, and the increase in the criticality of file data as it relates to mission critical business processes are cited as the top reason for this data growth." Please supply the background to these statements.Andyt01 09:03, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
