I was hoping this article would help me pick an application to help me chop a file. IE break it into pieces small enough I could email them. Mathiastck 18:08, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

This article presumes that a file is a computer file and that an archive is something that exists only in a computer. Files and archives pre-existed computers. The title and content of the article might recognize this.
