The fils (Arabic alphabet: فلس) is a subdivision of currency used in many Arab countries, such as Iraq. "Fils" is the singular form in Arabic, not the plural as its ending might indicate to an English speaker. The plural form of fils, fuloos (فلوس), fils is also the Arabic word for money.
