Filippo Scannabecchi

Filippo Scannabecchi, also known as (Lippo di) Dalmasio (1360 - 1410) was an Italian painter.

Little is known about his life.
He was one of the earliest painters of Bologna, mainly known for depictions of the Madonna and Child. His father, Dalmasio Scannabecchi, who painted in the same city, trained him and also Vitale da Bologna.
The name Muratori, by which one or two writers have styled him, really belongs to Teresa Scannabecchi, a seventeenth-century female painter. His name of Lippo Dalle Madonne was given him because he usually painted the Madonna.
He is mentioned by Carlo Cesare Malvasia, in Felsina Pittrice (Bologna, 1678).
