Talk:Figured You Out

Tagged for lack of sources. Anyone know where the claims about sexual predation were made? --Stretch 08:19, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
- There was no tag on the article as of today. I added a tag and tried to clean up a few awkward sentences and remove some biased statements. The article read a bit like a defensive fan wrote it, trying to justify his love of the band in the face of criticism and low-chart performance of a controversial song. I agree some sources need to be cited to back up these otherwise interpretive statements. 66.17.105.226 19:36, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Incorrect Information
The lyrics are "I like the white stains on your dress" according to the offical website. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.42.121.131 (talk) 00:34, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] What a mess!
Someone really splooged all over this article, never mind the "white stains" that may or may not be in the lyrics. Ive got some cleaning to do.. Angryafghan 16:45, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Domestic Violence?
This seems to be more about substance abuse and falling in and then out of love.
- Could be. Feel free to add anything, but please base your contributions on verifiable sources. 66.17.105.226 19:36, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Would the website songmeanings.net be a suitable source as it is a site where the meanings of songs are discussed by the public.
No mention is made in this article of the Cocaine reference (long lines in a row/powder on your nose). "White stains" sounds a lot to me like "Wine stains". Are the lyrics published? Even if it was "white stains", I think theres an equal chance it's another coke reference rather than a "semen on your dress" innuendo. Also the "hands around the neck" part seems more likely to be a rough sex reference than a random reference to domestic violence.User:ozort
[edit] Vandalism?
I'm new to editing Wikipedia, so I didnt want to make any changes. Anyway, it seems that alot of the 'Meaning of the Song' section seem vandalised, such as: 'hacks like Bob sucking on a big black cock', and 'rough, hair-pulling, strictly Canadian sex' (remembering that Nickelback is Canadian, this seems like a racist comment). Anyone agree/disagree? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Phatenz (talk • contribs) 05:19, 22 February 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Bias?
This all seems quite a little bias. Suggest a re-write? Not exactly pressing, but still.
- This article is extremely biased especially in the song meaning section. It needs a good rewrite, unfortunatly I don't know enough about the song to do it myself. Also I think the lyrics might be "I like the WHITE stains on your dress" meaning semen, not WINE stains. Can someone please clear that up. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 58.179.112.141 (talk) 07:19, 2 April 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Pomo?
I'm curious what you think: Are the lyrics of this song despicable and womanizing, or are they thoughtfully postmodern? Both? —Ben FrantzDale 07:26, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
