Article

Classified information

Portion used

only cover page of original document is shown

Low resolution?

yes, lower quality jpg file of the screen image

Purpose of use

Illustrate a non-U.S. (formerly) classified document in order to provide a world view for this educational article.

Replaceable?

Declassified classified documents are generally the works of governments. While U.S. Government works are public domain, the status of works by other governments is unclear. So any other image would face the same problem.

Other information Document belonged to the East German Government and describes a device that is no longer in use. Use of this low resolution image is unlikely to adversely affect any market for the original document.
