I wasn't sure whether you'd see this if I put it on the talk page, so I'm putting it here. Based on Convention booklets from '72-74, comics and science fiction fanzines from roughly '69 to 86 (most of which have disappeared since I started this stub) and other materials, I originally phrased it, "however the bulk of the attention he got in his lifetime came from..." the Edgar Rice Burroughs covers. Pepso changed it to "Notable..." and I didn't have an issue with that, even though it did alter the meaning somewhat. I precisely don't like your proposed change because most of the older documentation about him is as a Fantasy/Ace Books/DAW Books/Edgar Rice Burroughs illustrator, rather than as a cartoonist. Most of the material about him as a cartoonist was published AFTER his death. At least what I've seen. Jplatt39 (talk) 14:54, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, I'm not sure exactly how to respond to you, so I will add this to your comment. I never said anything about RGK being a cartoonist. In fact, the books I updated and mentioned were books by Lancer and Grant publishing. All in the vein of Burroughs. He did work for EC comics a bit and Warren publishing used him for his creative genius. I actually own the cover to his first burroughs cover, AT THE EARTHS CORE. But everything I added was factual, so I thought that was the whole idea is to tell all information possible about him. Thanks for writing!!! Festoonz (talk) 23:16, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] How to Reply
Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed you don't know how to reply. There are two ways of how to reply:
- The first way is to respond on the other person's talk page. Remember to create a new headline.
- The second way is to add a colon ":" on a new line underneath the previous response, and then leave your message.
Have fun on Wikipedia. If you have any comments or questions, respond to me on my talk page. Thanks. --Ŵïllî§ï$2 (Talk!/Cont.) 23:23, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
