The South Australian Energy Co-Operative Limited is a South Australian energy co-operative, which provides a collective buying capacity for electricity and gas services to private customers, charities and other co-operatives. The Energy Co-op has some 1000 member/customers.

Energy Co-op analyses retail offers from energy service providers in the South Australian market, which are then recommended to members, who receive a discount from the service provider if they accept the recommended offer.

The Energy Co-Op is non-profit and non-commercial. It has no vested interests beyond the collective needs of its members, and is the only non-government consumer advocate in the South Australian energy market.

The Energy Co-Op’s staff monitors the energy market and are sometimes approached by energy retailers who are eager to secure the Co-Op’s business. With all the information to hand, the Co-Op can simplify the complex retail energy market to ensure its members get favourable rates on their electricity and gas consumption.

Membership of the Energy Co-op is currently A$20.00 per year.
