[edit] Source of original article

I received the original text of this article from Mr. Slatkin's son, Frederick Zlotkin (he changed his name back to the original). He informed me that this is a biography that he had written on the occasion of the first anniversary of his father's death. He is aware that my intention in asking him for this material is to put it on Wikipedia. I have added the links for names in the article that I felt may either already be on Wikipedia or possibly should be. I have also added minor content (mention of his other son, Leonard Slatkin). Seeing that, on my original save, the 'wikify' box was added, I have attempted to do as much of that as I can. I was not able to create a summary paragraph for the opening, as I could not reconcile that with the flow of the original first paragraph. L. Greg 18:04, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

I have compared the article after my last modification against the Guidebook and believe I have Wikified it, so I have removed the wikify notice. L. Greg 00:52, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
