Feign death

Feign death is the typical name given to an ability that massively-multiplayer online game player characters may possess. The term was popularized in EverQuest, and the skill it refers to may also be found in other MMORPG such as World of Warcraft.
In essence, the ability allows a player to play possum as to avoid the unwanted attentions from hostile or potentially-hostile mobs. The skill is a potent one so it is usually limited in how often a player can use it, typically by a refresh timer.
