Federal State of Croatia ("Federalna Država Hrvatska" in Croatian) was proclaimed on May 9, 1944 (3rd session of ZAVNOH). It changed its name to People's Republic of Croatia ("Narodna Republika Hrvatska" in Croatian) on November 29, 1945.
