FED-STD-209 E Airborne Particulate Cleanliness Classes in Cleanrooms and Cleanzones was canceled on November 29, 2001 by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). Recommended by IEST, Preparing Activity organization for FED-STD-209E, International Standard ISO 14644, Cleanrooms and controlled environments-Part 1: Classification of air cleanliness, and Part 2: Specifications for testing and monitoring to prove continued compliance with ISO 14644-1 will supersede FED-STD-209E.[1]
