I could have sworn she said she was 24 the other day (I'm writing this in April 2006 BTW), which, if she was born in September, would put her year of birth as 1981, not 1982.

mmmh. I did a Google search and everything came up with her being born in 1982. However her myspace profile says that she is 24 (in the external links in the article). I think a similar thing happened with Jamie Lynn Spears and it turned out that her publicist had made a mistake (see [1]). I'm not quite sure of the solution to this. Her DOB on IMDb is the same as here. But yesterday, the Daily Mail Weekend claimed that she's 25, which if true would put this more than a year out. And the MySpace profile still has it down as 24. But sometimes false DOBs are published even on official sources - see Sinéad O'Carroll for instance. -- Smjg 16:34, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

1981 is confirmed by the entry in the BMD. Q3 1981 Fearne Cotton, Brent (registration district), mother's maiden name Savage. --jmb 23:51, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

I watched the set and although she did swear and encourage people to "get pissed" it was well received by the crowd. The overall reaction to her set was very positive and I didn't hear any criticism as it says in the main article here."

After I removed this information once it was put back by another user, this suggested their may be some weight behind it so I requested a citation. Your response here verifies it's nothing more than original research so it's been removed altogether. I think Fearne would seem a bit out of place doing a set in a university bar if she didn't encourage people to drink and talked as if she was presenting Top of the Pops: Reloaded. Anyway, it's now been removed again. If someone wishes to resubmit the information they must provide an official citation reference backing the alleged criticism of Fearne's behaviour. ~~ Pete 17:17, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

There is a birth registered for a Fearne Cotton in the Third Quarter of 1981 in Brent in the BMD Index. --jmb 02:17, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

That makes this sentence in the article incorrect: She began her presenting career in 1998 at the age of 15 - even before she had her birthday in the year in question she would have been 16, not 15 ChrisTheDude 11:01, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

Are you sure that you're allowed to use that pic from the Eurovision Songcontest? I wrote the Fearne Cotton-articel for de. wp. and I'm not allowed to use it. Robin90

Image now has a non-free media rationale attached to it. It should hopefully be covered under Wikipedia's fair use policy simply because it illustrates the subject referenced (Fearne presenting the UK televoting) and no free alternative could possibly exist. ~~ Peteb16 08:44, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Why does this article have headings for each programme she has hosted? There is even one heading for her interviews with stars on the Oscar red carpet, with only one sentence under it, similar to several other sections with only a few sentences under these headings. They are getting out of hand here, there must be some other way of organizing this article. Eagle Owl 10:59, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

As quoted above, the GRO Birth Index just has her recorded as Fearne COTTON (i.e. no middle name) with mother's maiden name SAVAGE. Born Q3 1981. --jmb (talk) 09:14, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
