Feather pillow

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Feather pillows are, as the name suggests, pillows stuffed with feathers, usually the rectangular kind used for sleeping in conventional western beds. These are known for both their softness and their ability to conform to shapes desired by the user, more so than foam or fibre pillows.

"Down" pillows are specifically stuffed only with the soft "down feathers", making them even softer.

There are currently hypoallergenic varieties of down pillows to allow people sensitive to down to enjoy the comfort of feather or down pillows.

They are known for their propensity to shed down through their container, poking the sleeper and causing discomfort.
