Feather meal
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Feather meal is the dried and ground waste from the poultry processing industry. Although total nitrogen levels are fairly high, the nitrogen is released slowly as the feathers decompose. This is therefore a good source of nitrogen for crops that need it supplied slowly over the course of a growing season.
