Fear of Heights

Fear Of Heights is a band from Sugar Land, Texas that mixes genres such as Alternative,Progressive,Post-Grunge,and Funk.The band was formed by longtime friends Trey Dixon(Vocals,Bass),Andy Young(Guitar) and Alex Longshaw(Drums).The band is currently recording their new album,which will be released on iTunes in late August.

Fear of Heights formed in the drummers garage in 2006.Though their first year was slow and unprogressive,the band soon began to write songs and learn various covers by Blink 182,Nirvana,Weezer, and Britney Spears).In the summer of 2007 they recorded their ep,The Man & the Machine, featuring Wake Me Up, My Life Is Over, and I Dont Know.

Since forming the band has played in Garages,Gazebos,Gymnasiums,Parks,Living Rooms,Churches,Youth Centers and various clubs in the Houston Area.Their most famous show was opening 2007's Teenstock. The band played for over 500+ people in Sugar Land's Town Square. The band has played with various bands, including Close Your Eyes and 359.

The band holds various influences,including(in no particular order):Muse,Incubus,Radiohead,Pink Floyd,the Red Hot Chili Peppers,the Mars Volta,Nirvana,Blink 182,Blur and Weezer.

In March 2008 the band was featured on the MustBeTheGenes.com segment "Undiscovered" alongside Depths & Dauntless.They were also featured in an Article for AHS's "the Legend".

In May 2008 the band announced they would take 3 months off from touring to Record and work on various projects(including Trey & Andy's Psychadelic side project Kartman).The new (Untitled at the moment) CD will have about 10 songs and will be on iTunes in late August.
