[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:FC Irtysh.png
Image:FC Irtysh.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Name Discussion
Please, dont move to SC Irtysh. All kazakhstani clubs are FCs, maybe not on paper, but all the world knows them as FC, not SC or PFC or anything else.

Hello, I did to moved to SC Irtysh. So I have a question what is the words as Спорт Клувы on the emblem? Is it a russian? or old name?--Dj nix (talk) 13:50, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for response. The emblem says Sport Club. Because Irtysh has different sports (like basketball, voleyball), not only football. But in official football competitions Irtysh plays as Football Club, as all other kazakhstani Football Clubs. As we are discussing here football, let's put all the clubs in one standard system naming, to avoid confusion.

Thanks for a quick reply. I guessed that Irtysh must be the sports club with several departments. But I got a kazakh football situation. I agree to your opinion.--Dj nix (talk) 07:18, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] FC Irtysh or FC Irtysh Pavlodar
- All kazakh clubs fell into one standard name convention. like, FC Zhetysu, FC Shakhter. (not FC Zhetysu Taldykorgan or FC Shakhter Karagandy).
- There many examples of european club names as well: Everton FC, Aston Villa FC, Juventus FC...
- Yes, some club names could require city name included as well. For example when club name is very common like: Spartak, Dynamo, Inter - you better indicate Spartaks separately: Spartak Moscow and Spartak Nalchik, or Dynamos: Dynamo Moscow and Dynamo Kyiv...
But Irtysh (like many other kazakh clubs) is not a common club name to raise disambiguation. Exception is FC Spartak Semey of course.
- Thats is why FC Irtysh is reasonable naming, Irtysh Pavlodar being as a full name, indicating the city.

- Sorry, but I'm afraid I'm not following you here. What you say, does not fall under WP:NAME, unless there is some other "standard naming convention" I'm unaware of. The official name of Everton is Everton FC, and not Everton Liverpool, the official name of Juventus is Juventus FC, not Juventus Turin. The official name of Recreativo, on the other hand, is Recreativo Huelva, the official name of Red Star is Red Star Belgrade. That's why we'll use Recreativo de Huelva here, regardless of whether there are other recreativos or not. I believe that FC Irtysh Pavlodar is the official name of Irtysh ([1], [2]). Oh and by the way there is at least one other Irtysh in the Russian second division. BanRay 10:08, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

- ok, i see your point. i just noticed FC Irtysh-1946 Omsk.
- I'm gonna move now FC Irtysh to FC Irtysh Pavlodar. And i will write disambiguation page for Irtyshes.
- Also, this change does not mean that all other kazakh clubs should be renamed as well.
- One reason is saving our (wikipedians) time in referring them when writing full names.
