A mash-up of the word "faux" (false) and "socialite." They are a global network of creative weirdos, local superstars, real musicians, fashion designers, artists, activists, internet geniuses, and visionaries working to change the meaning of STARDOM.
Being a fauxcialite is about very raw self respect:
- They don’t imitate, they initiate
- They don’t follow – they lead
- They don’t just accept a trend because a celeb does
- What they do is ‘cool’ because they do it – and not because other people perceive it to be ‘cool’.
