Fatikchhari is located at 22.6833° N 91.8042° E . It has 65861 units of house hold and total area 773.55 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Fatikchhari has a population of 388013. Males constitute are 50.1% of the population, and females 49.9%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 182250. Fatikchhari has an average literacy rate of 32% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
