[edit] Self-promotion and/or advertising
Recent edits purportedly made by members of the subject company were not encyclopaedic in content such that they were not referenced in accepted news channels or secondary sources. Where statements are made, they should be backed up by verifiable citationsDick G 08:36, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
Rjgibb - DO NOT EDIT THIS SITE WITH FALSE INFORMATION (jtlondonJtlondon 12:14, 9 May 2007 (UTC))
- Please don't confuse my edits - which only tagged the information you supplied as requiring citations - other users have in fact deleted your content, not me. With respect, the information you have added to Wikipedia does still require a press citation for it to fall within the guidelines set by Wikipedia as to content (indeed my entry above, made 25th April, specifically relates to that point). As it stands, the mention of the deal with Roo Media may well be a true statement but it is entirely unverifiable by the general public. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not an advertising medium. If you work for FMTV, a press release or some other disclosure in the public domain would count - but it would need to be separately accessed on the internet - e.g through a common-use newswire. I do hope you continue to contribute to Wikipedia but would ask that you bear in mind the guidelines as to its usage and I trust you recognise that it is not me who has made the redacting edits to which you refer.Dick G 19:10, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
