Farrukh Shah Kabuli was a descendant of Ibrahim Bin Adham and King of Afghanistan.

After him, his great grandson got killed fighting Hulagu Khan and the uprooted family migrated to Punjab. Baba Farid, the famous Sufi saint was his famous great grandson. His descendants in South Asia call themselves Farooqi.
