Farm to Market Road 8 or FM 8 is a Texas state road running from west of Gorman east to Stephenville. The route was originally designated in 1942 from Lingleville east to Stephenville, replacing State Highway 68. By 1948, the route had been extended westward, reaching Gorman, which was the original endpoint of SH 68. The highway was extended west in 1957 and 1983 over the previous routing of SH 6.
