Faridpur Sadar (Bengali: ফরিদপুর সদর) is an Upazila of Faridpur District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Faridpur Sadar is located at 23.5958° N 89.8306° E . It has 60454 units of house hold and total area 407.02 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Faridpur Sadar has a population of 335386. Males constitute are 51.91% of the population, and females 48.09%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 176469. Faridpur Sadar has an average literacy rate of 34.2% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. [2]
