The statements about food science are way off base and I don't think they belong in the article at all. Post a note if you want to discuss this point, otherwise I'm going to take them out. ike9898
I assume they have now gone?

The origin of Home Economics is scientifically based with founder Ellen H. Richards (see Culinary Biographies, Arndt,2006) The organization she helped form was the American Home Economics Association now know as the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, the true authority on the body of knoweldge encompassed and still taught in the majority of high schools across the country, open to all students. 5/6/2007 E.
