Fairfield Inn by Marriott is a lower cost brand of hotels that are franchised by Marriott International. The intended use is for guests requiring simply a place to sleep with fewer amenities. This allows Marriott to offer lower prices than would otherwise be possible. Such cost-saving approaches such as consistent building architecture, bedding, and the omission of a full-service restaurant are employed. Typically a continental breakfast is offered free, featuring a variety of breakfast items.

Many properties have amenities such as a pool, exercise room, whirpool, same-day dry cleaning, vending machines, and meeting rooms. The first location opened in 1987. The brand formerly included properties dubbed "Fairfield Suites"; however, since 1998, SpringHill Suites has taken over its place in the Marriott corporation. Many properties feature both suites and rooms, and these are called "Fairfleld Inn and Suites." As of December 2005, there are a total of 524 Fairfield Inn hotels worldwide. The Senior Vice President in charge of Fairfield Inn is Liam Brown.
