From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi, I'm "Factchecker At Your Service". As the name implies, I tend to check the verifiability of claims I find on Wikipedia. I hope to one day start writing new articles from scratch, but for the time being, as I familiarize myself with Wikipedia, I am content to direct my efforts towards maintaining the quality and neutrality of this online encyclopedia. More specifically, my main goals at this time are to eliminate bias from articles I edit, possibly deleting material if it is unsourced or is an egregious violation of the stated standards for content.

I realize that this may place me in an adversarial relationship with some of the editors I encounter, but I will do my best to maintain a rapport with other editors, or, at least, an atmosphere of civility when involved in a dispute. I pledge to uphold and obey the Five Pillars of Wikipedia, as well as its numerous stated policies, and to assume that good faith is being kept by all editors with whom I interact, even if it appears that they are an interested party with respect to the subject of an article which I am editing or which is the subject of a dispute.

I look forward to learning more about Wikipedia and eagerly anticipate a future era in which this great organization no longer suffers from a stigma of unreliability.
