Just added the expand tag. This article really needs a lot more information like about how the band got together, more information about what the band had been doing during their years of recording/touring, why they band broke up, anything. - Agreed. The official website has a nice biography of the band divided into sections. It's a good source for someone to use. If I find the time in the near future I'll try to start something, but that is looking unlikely. www.facetofacemusic.com is the site. Reesebw 21:46, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Lower-case in band name?
I moved this page around a bit at first but soon realized there should be a discussion about it. As far as lower-case in the band name goes, the only rationale i can find is the logo on their records. However, consider the following:
- 1. Their bio-page uses "Face to Face".
- 2. There is no mention of a conscious decision to use lower-case spelling in their bio.
- 3. Allmusic uses "Face to Face"
- 4. Lower-case in a band logo could be interpreted as an artistic effect which shouldn't affect the spelling of the band name. For example, compare with Rancid who's band logo is capitalized.

- I cannot see any reason why the name should be in lowercase. The style used on album covers is pretty inconsistent, with some in all lower and others in all upper case. Apart from style there is no reason why a name should be in lower case in an encyclopedia. Possibly the article should be changed to Face to Face, with opeining line "Face to Face (sometimes stylised as face to face) blah blah blah" or something like that. I will probably set about doing this in a few weeks if no objections....Nouse4aname 13:33, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- Their official website uses Face To Face, so that's what I changed it to. However, if their name was officially face to face, it would be incorrect to list them as Face to face, even if it was the start of a sentence. The only problem now is that now the title of the page now says face To Face (punk band), even though I moved the page to Face To Face (punk band). - I'd like to weigh in because I was the one who originally moved/changed everything to "face to face." I did so because almost all of their albums, merchandise, and anywhere else "official" that prints the name use all lower case. I don't mean just most of the time, I mean about 90% of the time. That's consistency. What "bio-page" are you referring to? Anyway, I do agree that it's a stylization in any case. According to Wikipedia rules, we should title all articles using proper English capitalization. So I support Face to Face as the proper format (forms of "to" such as from, with, etc. are not capitalized in titles. See WP:CAPS). I would format it as Face to Face in the article, with the addendum "(often typeset face to face)." As for the (punk band) disambiguation, that was necessary because there is another band named Face to Face with a Wikipedia entry. - Actually, I don't understand why the "to" has been capitalised. Didn't even notice that before...and now I've changed practically every occurence to the capital...I don't mind going back a correcting it, but will just want someone to confirm Face to Face is correct.Nouse4aname 17:30, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- Yes "Face to Face" would be correct. But the "(punk band)" disambiguation in the main article title will have to be kept, or changed to some other form of disambiguation to keep it from being confused with the new wave band. --IllaZilla 18:38, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

They start out writing it Face To Face, then write it as Face to Face. However I don't see them use face to face anywhere in the bio sections of the band's official site. It would be nice if the band's official website would use a consistent spelling, but it does look like they use Face to Face more often. Spylab 19:38, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- The bottom line is it doesn't matter how they capitalize it on their website (or anywhere else really). Wikipedia guidelines dictate how we capitalize proper nouns in articles and titles. See WP:CAPS.
