Fabian Montabell (born February 13, 1985 in Hannover) is a footballer who plays for Bundesliga club Hannover 96. He holds dual German and French nationality.
He joined his hometown club in 1999 as a youth player and worked his way through to the full squad by the 2003/04 season. However, he still mostly plays for the club's amateur/under-23 side in the Oberliga-North.
Montabell - known as "Monti" within the club [1] - has played as both midfielder and striker for Hannover 96 since making his Bundesliga debut as a final day substitute against VfL Bochum on May 22, 2004. He has played 6 times in total for the full team over his three seasons whilst included the senior squad.
